In this post, we'll walk you through how to sign up for the HTX exchange (Huobi Global), including details on fee discounts and KYC identity verification.
As a reminder, Huobi Exchange rebranded and changed its name to HTX on September 13, 2023 to celebrate its 10th anniversary.
1. Go to HTX Exchange
Please use the discounted fee link below to access the exchange. You will be automatically directed to the signup page with a 30% referral discount.
2. Enter and verify your signup information
After connecting to the Huobi exchange via the link above, you will see the screen below. Let's enter our signup information to create a Huobi account.
1. Please enter the email you want to use on the exchange (email)
2. Please enter a password of at least 8 digits (case sensitive).
3. Press the [Send] button next to [Verification Code].

5. You'll see a puzzle that you can slide to complete. Simply slide the picture into the empty spot.
6. Next, enter the 6-digit verification number sent to the email you entered into the [Verification Code] field. You can log in to your email and find the 6-digit code.
If the code is not automatically entered in the Referral Code section, or if a different code is entered, you will need to manually enter KFJA5 to apply the discount.
7. Finally, click the blue button [Sign up] or [Claim Mystery Box] and you're done.
Your account creation will be completed with a message congratulating you on your registration, as shown in the screenshot above.
3. Download HTX app
Now, let's download the HTX app to verify your identity. Visit the app store and search for HTX or Huobi Exchange.
Launch the HTX app and press the blue [Login/Sign Up] button in the center of the screen.
4. Sign in to the app
Proceed to log in with the email (or cell phone) information you just signed up with. First, enter your email address and hit [Send Verification Code].
Simply swipe the next security puzzle that appears to the right and place it into the empty puzzle space.
Now check your email and enter the 6-digit verification code. Next, you'll see the Current Account Password section. Please enter your password here.
Next, you'll be prompted to connect Google Authenticator. We'll set up two-step verification later, so hit [Maybe Later].
Once you're logged into the app, tap the bald character on the left side of the screen.
5. Verify your KYC identity
Now it's time to verify your identity. As you can see in the screen above, click on the [Unverified] section, and you'll see a [Verify] button next to [Level 1 Basic Permissions] to verify your identity, as shown below.
Please fill out your personal information using the credentials above. Once you're done, you can press [Submit].
If you see "L1 Basic Permissions" as shown below, you are successful. Immediately click the [Continue With L2 Verification] button.
Select the ID you want to use to verify your identity and press [Next]. You can choose from ID Card, Passport, or Driver's License.

Take a photo of the front and back of your ID and upload it, then press the [Submit] button. When you finally see the verification completion message [Verification Complete], you have successfully verified your identity!
Congratulations. You've now successfully authenticated your identity.
The last three steps of advanced authentication are not required to use the exchange.
6. HTX Signup Complete
Now come back to the main app and click on the character icon again. If you see the certification level (L2) along with the flag of the certified country, you are successful.
The process of creating an HTX Exchange account and verifying your KYC identity is now complete, and you are now free to trade, deposit, withdraw, etc. on the exchange.
